Krista

Hi, my name is Krista Lantz, Program Coordinator at the Camrose Family Resource Center. I’ve lived in Camrose for the past 16 years and am proud to call it home. I’m a dedicated social worker with a passion for helping others, and I recently returned to this workplace after previously spending 8 years here. It feels great to be back!

Outside of work, I stay busy taking care of my family. I am a dog lover and owner. We spend lots of time walking Eddie through the beautiful trails of Camrose. In my spare time I also enjoy tap dancing with a wonderful group of ladies.

I’m excited to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones as I continue my journey in both professional and personal growth. am new the team and bring with me years of experience supporting adults, children and families to overcome barriers and navigate challenges that come up along their path. I have extensive experience in the Mental Health field.  I am passionate about using Trauma informed practice to meet my clients where they are at. I am a certified Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator and believe strongly in the power of connection to help navigate any challenges that come up in our parent-child relationships. I am grateful to be able live and play on unceded Treaty 6 territory and for the privilege of being able to learn and explore the many cultures, histories, and languages of the First Nations, Metis, Inuit, Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, and Saulteaux People who have walked this land since time immemorial.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree as well as a Diploma in Human Services. I enjoy creative expression, yoga, dance, gardening, snowshoeing, and spending time outside exploring with my 3 children and 3 weiner dogs.
