The Camrose Family Resource Centre Association

is a non-profit organization that provides family supports and resources for the community of Camrose and surrounding rural areas. Our focus is to strengthen and empower families, enhance the capacity of parenting, and foster the optimal development of children. We do this through the implementation and development of community based programming. Through the Resource Centre located at the Camrose Community Centre we facilitate educational initiatives, social programs and special events.

In late 2004, the Camrose Family Resource Centre was fortunate to be named A Parent Link Centre.  Parent Link Centres provide parents with the support they need to help their children develop to their full potential.  Parents will be able to contact Parent Link Centres to get all of the information, referral and family support they require.  Each Parent Link Centre will be community based, but provide service in the following five key areas:

  • parent education

  • early childhood development and care

  • family support

  • information and referrals

  •   ASQ and ASQ-SE screening
